The Chichester Community Development Trust has been awarded a first round pass of £145,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for the development of a second round application for the Heritage at the Herat of Graylingwell project.
An ambitious restoration and community engagement project Heritage at the Heart of Graylingwell will tell the story of the Graylingwell asylum in the Hospital’s chapel. The project will ensure the future of this beautiful and important Grade II listed building, engaging with the community and sharing the history of the asylum. The funding secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund will be used to develop detailed proposals for a second round application by producing documents to support the delivery of the capital works and activities.
